Hank Heubach

Hank Heubach has served Neighbors Abroad since 1992, with board tenure from 1992–2007 and 2015–present. He held positions as President, Treasurer, and VP for the Linköping, Sweden sister city program.

He earned a B.A. in Physics from Dartmouth College and an M.S. in Physics from the University of Washington. His career included senior scientist roles at Metatech Corporation focusing on nuclear weapons effects and various research positions at Stanford Research Institute (SRI International), where he worked as a Research Physicist in the Radio Physics Laboratory on Defense Department programs. His work encompassed electromagnetic pulse data analysis and ground-motion digitization from nuclear testing.

Hank joined the Kiwanis Club of Palo Alto in 1998, serving as President and currently on the International Committee (which he founded), Programs Committee, and Foundation Committee. He is active with the Palo Alto Lawn Bowls Club as a former Tournament Director and board member. Previously, he coached and umpired for the Palo Alto Girls' Softball League and held leadership roles with the American Youth Soccer Organization, serving as a 1984 Olympic Youth Soccer Tournament referee.

He holds memberships in the Dartmouth College Alumni Association and SRI Alumni Association, and is a Menlo-Atherton High School graduate.
